Do Nair™ products have an expiration date?
No, there is no expiration on any Nair products. However, it is recommended to replace your product one year after opening.
Are Nair™ products tested on animals?
No, Nair™ finished products are not tested on animals.
Where are Nair™ products available?
All Nair™ products are available at mass retailers and drugstores nationwide.
Can pregnant women use Nair™ products?
Nair™ can be used by pregnant women, as long as all Warnings and Directions are followed. If you have exceptionally sensitive skin or other skin maladies you should first consult a physician.
Why do I have to patch test every single time I use Nair™ products if I’ve already been using it for several years?
You should patch test every time you use Nair™ products. Since body chemistry can change, a reaction can occur even when there has been prior use of the product without incident.
What’s the best product for coarser hair?
Nair™ Shower Power™ MAX and Nair™ Crème for Coarse Hair are specially designed to be most effective at coarse hair removal.
At what age can my teen begin to use this product?
We recommend that youth 12 and older use this product with adult supervision. Please contact your physician with questions.
Will Nair™ affect my tattoo?
No. Depilatories will not affect tattoos.
Where on my body can I use Nair™ products?
Our products are designed for use on different areas of your body. Please check our labels carefully to see where the product can be used. We do not market a product that can be used on genital or perianal areas.
If I stop using Nair™ products, will my hair grow back thicker or coarser?
Nair™ products will not affect the rate which one’s hair grows, nor the character or thickness of the hair shaft.
Waxes
Can I purchase post-wipes separately?
No, the post-wipes are not sold separately.
Are there different types of waxes?
Yes. The two main types are sugar and resin waxes. Sugar wax is water soluble, so residue easily rinses away. Resin wax is tree sap, and is known for its ability to easily adhere to short hairs. Nair™ Ultimate Roll-On Wax is a resin wax, but leverages a breakthrough wax technology that also makes it water soluble.
What is the appropriate hair length that can be removed by waxing?
All wax forms differ in the lengths of hair which can be removed. Follow product use instructions for each specific product.
Is there another way to remove extra wax if I run out of moisturizing towelettes?
Yes, if using Nair™ Wax Strips, use mineral oil or baby oil to remove remaining wax. If using Nair™ Ultimate Roll-On Wax, use soap and water. See package for complete instructions.

Is waxing suitable for everyone?
No, always read carefully the Warnings section before use.
Will waxing affect how my hair grows back?
If you wax exclusively on a regular basis, hair will not grow back as quickly over time.
How do I remove excess wax residue?
Our wax products can simply and easily be removed with soap, lukewarm water and a damp washcloth.
Will waxing hurt?
As with any wax treatment, some discomfort may be experienced. This can be reduced by removing the cloth strip quickly from taut skin.
Shower Power
How quickly does the Shower Power™ technology work?
Nair™ Shower Power™ can work in as little as 3 minutes and total application time should never exceed 10 minutes.
How long do I have to wait between uses?
Wait 72 hours between uses.
Will Nair™ Shower Power™ formula affect how my hair grows back?
Nair™ Shower Power™ formula will not affect the rate at which one’s hair grows, nor the character or thickness of the hair shaft.
Does Nair™ Shower Power ™ depilatory have any effect on self-tanning products?
Nair™ depilatory exfoliates skin in addition to removing hair so using it before tanning will help you achieve an even tan.
I lost the sponge. Is it available to buy separately?
At this time, we do not offer the sponge as an individual item to purchase. We also recommend using a damp washcloth.
Why do I have to use the sponge to put the cream on? Can’t I just use my hands?
You can use your hands. The sponge applicator allows you to apply the cream without touching it. You can also use a washcloth.
Creams
How do depilatories work?
Depilatories contain ingredients that work by breaking the bonds of hair. The bonds give hair strength and structure, so when you break these bonds, the hair can easily be wiped away and removed.
Why is it beneficial for the skin to use hair removal rather than razor shaving?
Depilatory creams work by dissolving the hair just below the surface of the skin whereas shaving sharply cuts the hair off at the skin surface. This means you’re not left with prickly stubble. Also, Nair™ products help moisturize and exfoliate your skin.
Do depilatories also exfoliate?
Yes, Nair™ products remove unwanted hair and exfoliate the skin's surface.
How long do I have to wait between applications of Nair™ products?
We advise that you wait at least 72 hours between applications.
Will depilatories affect how my hair grows back?
No, depilatories do not affect the rate your hair grows back, nor the thickness of the hair shaft.
Can I sunbathe after using Nair™ products?
No. It is advised that you wait at least 24 hours before heading out into the sun. Always use a sunscreen.
Does Nair™ depilatory have any effect on self-tanning products?
Nair™ exfoliates skin in addition to removing hair, so using it before a self-tanning product will help you achieve an even tan. Wait 24 hours between using Nair™ products and tanning.
Can I use a depilatory cream on my skin if I have a cut or abrasion?
No. It is advisable that your skin is clear from cuts or abrasions as you apply the cream.
Can I use other grooming products or toiletries on my skin after using hair removal creams? (E.g. anti-perspirants, perfumes, moisturizing or tanning lotions)
We advise that you wait at least 24 hours before using any of the above.
